Abstract

A simple, selective, rapid and precise RP-HPLC has been developed for the simultaneous estimation of Metamizole sodium and Pitofenone HCl in presence of Fenpiverinium bromide of combined Pharmaceutical dosage forms. The Inertsil ODS 3V C-18 Column was used for Metamizole sodium and Pitofenone HCL separation. The Mobile phase used was sodium dihydrogen phosphate buffer : Methanol,(0.05M, pH 5.0), (53:47 v/v) at a flow rate of 1ml/min at 286nm. The calibration curves was linear at a concentration range of 700.90 μg/ml to 1301.73 μg/ml and 7.01 μg/ml to 13.01 μg/ml with its regression coefficient (r²=0.9992 and 0.9995) for Metamizole sodium and Pitofenone HCl respectively was obtained. The LOD and LOQ was found to be in the range of 21.6174 μg/ml and 65.507 μg/ml for Metamizole sodium and 0.1701 μg/ml and 0.5155 μg/ml for Pitofenone HCl respectively. The method is highly sensitive and successfully applied for determination of Metamizole sodium and Fenpiverinium bromide in tablet dosage forms.

Abstract

Rapid, simple and sensitive spectrophotometric methods (A&B) have been developed for the determination of Atorvastatin (ATN) in pharmaceutical bulk and tablet dosage form. Method A is based on the reaction of ATN with 3-methyl-2-benzothiazolinone hydrazone and ferric chloride to form green colored chromogen. Method B is based on the formation of wine red colored chromogen with 1,2-naphthaquinone-4-sulphonate and NaOH. The absorbances of the chromogens were measured at their respective wavelengths of maximum absorbance against the corresponding reagent blank. The proposed methods have been successfully applied to the analysis of the bulk drug and its tablet dosage form. The methods have been statistically evaluated and were found to be precise and accurate.

Abstract

Rapid, simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of Nadolol in pharmaceutical bulk and tablet dosage forms. Method is based on the reaction of Nadolol with Sodium Nitropruside, Hydroxyl amine and sodium carbonate, to form light green colored chromogen. The colored species has absorption maximum at 440 nm and obeys Beer's law in the concentration range of 0.1-0.3 mg/ml. The optimum experimental parameters for the experiment have been studied. The proposed methods have been successfully applied to the analysis of the bulk drug and its tablet dosage form. Statistical analysis of the results has been carried out revealing high accuracy and good precision.

Abstract

Perindopril and losartan are used in combination for treatment of hypertension. The present work deals with a simple spectrophotometric method development for simultaneous estimation of perindopril (PRL) and losartan (LSN) in two component-formulation. First order derivative spectrophotometric method is adopted to eliminate spectral interference. The method obeys beer’s law in the concentration ranges employed for evaluation. To determine the sampling wave length, 10 mcg/ml of PRL and LSN were scanned from 200-350 nm. The wavelengths were found to be 219 nm for PRL, where LSN showed zero crossing point and 214 nm for LSN, where PRL showed zero crossing point in First order derivative spectroscopy. The recovery studies confirmed accuracy of proposed method and low values of standard deviation confirmed precision of the method. The method is validated as per ICH guidelines.
